Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year! I love it because for a few days it seems like everything around us stops, and we are able to focus on the things that matter the most. I love the fact that for a few days everything slows down.
Don't you just feel way too busy sometimes... Does it ever feel like you are just in overdrive rushing from one place to the next? But for a few days we are able to push the pause button and focus on the family that God has blessed us with.
Take the next few days and put down the cell phone, tablet, laptop and all the other stuff that keeps you distracted and instead make this Thanksgiving one you will never forget.
Over the next few days don't say the words 'maybe later.' As a parent there are lots of times I say maybe later; but later doesn't always come. If Mason wants to go hunting this evening; I'm going hunting! If Maddox wants to beat me at a game of basketball I'm going to give it my best shot! It's times like this that I realize the blessings that God has given me.
Next Week everything will go back to normal; and no doubt there will be stress, deadlines, and schedules to keep... but all that can wait for we have
better much better things to do now!
